Kamen Rider Ryuki Survive

Some time after Knight gains the Shippu Wing, Ryuki gains the Rekka Wing Card that allows him to enter Survive mode, a more powerful form that gives him new Vent cards (Shoot Vent, Strange Vent) and an all new Final Vent with his transformed Dragreder, Dragranzer

Final Vent: Dragon Firestorm: Draganzer transforms into a motorcycle that blasts fire balls before ramming the enemy.

Despite all this power Shinji never faltered from his plan in stopping the Rider War
In the semifinal episode when the world is being attacked by an army of mirror monsters he takes a fatal stab to the back while defending a child and after he and Ren destroy the monsters he dies from the wounds. (after Ren finally admitting that he is his best and probably only friend)

When time is reversed he is back working at Atashi Journal like nothing ever happened and sent to cover a story, on his way he passes by many former riders including Ren when he is about to enter the coffee shop (the main characters "hung out" there) but due to all their memories being reset, he doesn't recognize him

This work took a while cause I was on and off and on and off, and yes it was nuts seeing the main character get killed in the next to last episode, but thats the japanese and what makes their show so badass
